Antique Victorian black and silver floral lacquer wooden box container

A beautiful small antique Victorian era hinged lidded box. It is made of wood and finished with black lacquer on the outside and a silvery floral detail on the top. Inside has a silvery finish. It's such a sweet decorative piece or you could use it to store some tiny treasures. In its heyday it was likely used as a snuff box.

It measures 4.75" long, 1.5" across and 1" tall.

Condition: Some crackling to the finish on the outside and some spots on the side and back where the wood is showing through. Inside the wood has chipped slightly by the hinges (though it doesn't affect the function), the silver paint inside is flaking and it has a faint odor of smoke.
