Serpentine is curated by Jesseca McCloskey in Portland, Oregon.
Jesseca grew up going to flea markets on the East Coast and has had a life long infatuation with treasure hunting and jewelry design. She's been creating jewelry for 15+ years and is most inspired by well-loved vintage finds that seem to have a story to tell. She seeks out heirloom quality pieces that often need a little tlc and restores/ transforms them so they can live their best new lives with you. Jesseca is particularly drawn to Art Deco, Victorian and Art Nouveau designs as well as anything celestial, astrological, sentimental (lockets!), superstitious (good luck charms!) and the occult.
When she's not making jewelry in her home studio or wearing one of the many small business hats Jesseca can usually be found haunting thrift stores, escaping to the coast or snuggling her fluffy cat, Morpheus aka Mr. Biscuits.
In addition to the jewelry that Jesseca collects and creates you'll also find a curated selection of witchy goods that are handmade by some of the best independent makers around the country. We're so thrilled to be able to expand these offerings and hope you'll love them as much as we do!
Serpentine has been a long time in the making and began with a big dream, lots of pinterest boards and collections in storage bins that were slowly saved up until they started to take over the house (that's how we knew it was time)! Our dream has manifested into several versions of Pop Up locations and today we're thrilled to have a Pop Up space at Flutter as well as both memory den locations (within the Underfoot Vintage booths) in Portland. You can find us in person at markets around town too (follow @shopserpentinepdx on instagram to keep up on where and when). We also have even more treasures on Etsy if you didn't find what you were looking for here!
