Antique victorian wooden hair receiver
Antique Victorian Victorian Round Wood Patterned Hair Receiver Receptacle Container For Hair Jewelry
A gorgeous antique Victorian era round wooden container with a lovely texture and subtle floral pattern. It was painted gold which has softened to a warm tone over time. It has a lid with a small round opening at the top. It would have been kept on a dresser and used as a hair receiver- as you brush your hair you would store your loose hair inside which would be collected to make hair jewelry with later. If you chose it could also be used as a jewelry dish or it would make a pretty vase for some dried floral blooms.
It measures 3" tall and 5" across. The opening at the top is 1.25".
Condition: One dark spot. The paint has worn more on the lid that on the bottom. Some paint wear on the bottom inside of the container.
