Vintage Black Onyx Mother of Pearl Cameo Photo Locket Necklace

This necklace was made using a combination of new and vintage materials. It features a charming vintage cameo with a black onyx base, carved mother of pearl shell cameo profile of a woman's face set in gold-fill with a decorative border. The back reveals a surprise hidden locket compartment with floral details on the cover. It is marked Van Dell 12k gold fill. I believe it was likely made sometime in the 1940's. It comes on a new gold-filled chain that is finished with a gold-filled spring clasp and brass hexagon loop.

The cameo measures 1.25" long and 1" across. The locket is 20mm long and 15mm across. The chain is 18" long.
