Vintage Rolled Gold Mechanical Pencil Necklace Functional Jewelry

This necklace was handmade using a combination of new and vintage materials. It features a vintage rolled gold mechanical pencil with a very subtle textured pattern and a black stripe near the tip. The pencil is marked 1/30 10k RGP (rolled gold plate) as well as AT Made in USA. I believe the pencil was likely made some time around the 1950's. It is on a new long gold-filled chain that is finished with an antiqued brass (over copper) lobster clasp and a brass hexagon loop. Such a useful piece of functional jewelry!

There is still a little bit of lead in the pencil. When you are ready to refill the lead it loads through the tip.

The pencil measures 3.5" long and .25" thick. The chain is 33" long.

Condition: Some metal wear on the top of the pencil near the bail.
