Agate Statement Necklace
This unique necklace was handmade in house using a combination of antique materials. It features a large brass filigree box from the Victorian era with a red striped agate. A clasp opens the top half and might have once been used to hold coins as part of a chatelaine piece or perhaps used as a large vinaigrette. Today it could easily be used to store cash or keepsakes. It has been combined with an art deco brass chain which has been given a new brass plated copper lobster clasp and a brass hexagon loop.
The chain measures 31" long and the purse pendant measures 4" long (from the top of the joined chains/ the purse alone is 2.75" tall and 1.75" across).
The chain was found on the East Coast and the metal purse was sourced from a flea market in Oregon.
