Victorian Mourning Locket w/ Pearl & Opal Slide Chain
This special necklace was handmade using a combination of antique materials. It features an antique gold-filled Victorian mourning locket with lily of the valley flowers on the front and roses (or peonies) on the back. The original glass is still intact on one side.
It's on an antique gold-filled slide chain (the chain has some dark spots which I think add to its charm and hint at its rich history). The slide features seed pearls and an opal. The chain is finished with a spring clasp and a brass hexagon loop.
Lockets are such a classic and sweetly sentimental item that never go out of style. I love hearing who and what you put in your locket. Mine has a photo of my cat... so not judging if you go that route! Feel free to even email over your photos after purchase and I will print your images to scale and assemble them at no additional charge.
(Please note there is a small chip in the metal on the bottom front of the locket. This thing surely has some stories to tell!)
The locket measures 1" tall and .75" wide. The charms from the fob to the locket measure just shy of 2" long. The chain measures 17" long.
