Antique gutta percha clasped hands brooch
Antique Victorian Gutta Percha Clasped Hands Brooch
This Victorian era carved gutta-percha clasped hands brooch has charming details like different patterns on each cuff. Even the fingernails are depicted! It's finished with a c style clasp.
In Victorian times clasped hands were often a symbol of love and friendship, loyalty and fidelity.
There is one minor condition issue to note which is a small chip out of the bottom corner of one of the cuffs. Because of it's position and the darkness of the piece it's hardly noticeable. This small imperfection just hints at its age and rich history.
This brooch measures just over 2" across and .75" tall in the center.
