Antique Victorian Gold Filled Lyre Musical Instrument Fob Charm Necklace

This necklace was handmade using a combination of new and antique materials. It features an antique Victorian era gold-filled fob charm in the shape of a lyre. The musical instrument has beautiful openwork detailing and elegantly curved sides. The bottom of the seal is blank and I believe it is a thin inlay of 14k gold. It is on a new gold-filled chain that is finished with a gold-filled spring clasp and a brass hexagon loop.

Lyres are often associated with wisdom and Apollo the Greek god of music and prophecy.

The charm measures .75" long and .5" across. The chain is 18" long.

Condition: some metal wear to the bail. Light scuffs on the bottom of the seal.
